The sport of longboarding is very popular with the youngest grommets to the oldest waterman enjoying the thrill of riding waves.  With so many great breaks in the Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads region for longboarding it is little wonder that the sport has taken off.

The buoyancy of a longboard has much advantage for newcomers to surfing as the boards are more stable than short surfboards and can greatly help to increase your wave catching ability as well as quality of time riding the waves.   But a surfer requires a good skill set to ride a longboard well, particularly to be able to balance the board through longer rail turns and to ride it across, through or even over steep wave faces.  Fortunately, Surf Sessions have a strong skill sets in longboarding with a number of our coaches being highly regarded in the sport.   So whether you are looking to build your beginner skills or refine your traditional riding technique, our coaches will help you to get the most out of your surfing.
